How to Make Almond Milk
Greetings! So I’ve been craving chia pudding for the past few days. I relied on raw chia pudding (made with homemade raw almond milk) for about 3 weeks when I was on a full body detox this past February. It’s so tasty and filing and satisfying, especially when you’re on a raw detox. I actually haven’t had it since, and it just doesn’t taste the same with store-bought almond milk. So, I decided I’d make almond milk (just so I can make chia pudding), AND I decided I’d also make

Coconut Cheezy Kale
I am having so much fun exploring new plant-based recipes and foods. This is one of the newest dishes I created this week, and it is so delicious, and easy to cook, I feel like I can eat it everyday and be happy! I’ve already made it 3 times just this week! I even made some for my meat-eating boyfriend this week and he loved it, he actually said “my body feels loved” afterwards. It’s super easy to make, with just 4 simple whole-food ingredients. Coconut oil (or spray), dino k

Butternut Squash Quinoa
I LOVE this recipe. It created it spontaneously a few weeks ago while cooking dinner and having fun in the kitchen, as I usually do on Sundays. I was getting excited about Thanksgiving approaching and all the delicious foods and cozy, warm smells that come with the holiday. Most of the foods served at Thanksgiving feasts are saturated with carbs…and usually not the good kind. So I wanted something that was compatible with traditional Thanksgiving foods but offered more nutrit

My Journey to Health

When diet is correct, medicine is of no need.” ~Ancient Ayurvedic Proverb “Let food by thy medicine and let medicine be thy food.” ~Hippocrates I believe that everything is energy, and energy is continually in a cause & effect motion. Energy comes in the form of all things tangible and intangible: emotions, food, substances, thoughts, environment, movement…just to name a few. I spent most of my life hating my body, and being stuck i

Turkey & Black Bean Chili
I love this recipe because it is a hearty meal that is delicious and added a lot of variety to my week’s meals. I also love it because you can make a pot on Sunday and have plenty of prepared food for the week. I ate it mostly for lunch with a huge salad, and a couple times as a pre-worout snack, which is filling and gave me the energy I needed for my workouts. This makes a great meal with a side of raw veggies. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! INGREDIENTS: 1 (16 oz) pkg
